A review of Glendoick Garden Centre by Megan Wilson written on Monday 14th of November 2011
My family visited the cafe a few week ends ago for breakfast. The service was very very slow, we had to wait for bacon to be cooked even though it was no where near 11am. The bacon was not cooked to a very good standard and by the time my husband was handed his bacon roll I had finished my coffee and mum had nearly finished her scone.
Im sorry to say the staff appeared not to care and were more busy talking to each other than serving your customers.
We could not see any presance of a manager in the cafe or any presance of any authority either.
Is the cafe now only working with young people who appear only to be there for a good gossip about the night before or what their doing tonite?
We were very dissapointed with our visit.
Before my mother was so ill we visited the cafe 4 to 5 times per month for soups, cakes and coffees. The manager(Iris, i think, she had a newcastle accent) was usually serving and there were older members of staff(Carol) on the counter.
Neither could be seen on this visit which was a surprize and a dissapointment. They always made you fell so welcome.
I am writing this now as I have just returned from visiting my mother and she mentioned how dissapointed she was with our visitand could not believe in the downfall of the cafes service. It really spoilt her day as she does not get out much because of her ill health.
Im afraid your customer service has let you down and sadly we will not be returning to your cafe.
